One of the advantages of a road drive is the random things that you experience. A cow deciding to shit right in the middle of the road or parks herself right in front of a milestone when you desperately wish to know the kilometers ahead.
Road drive and cows have an innate connection. Though West has over-hyped, infact glamourized our cows in their movies, it goes without saying that there is no smoke without the fire.
Here’s my take on road drives and cows. Enjoy.
I sometimes think that had it not been for the cows on the roads, how boring our road drive would be. We would be deprived of that repetitive discussion and lament on government not doing anything for tourism. How this naive animal was actually responsible for shooing away all those dollars. Such a sad state of affairs in India.
And when all the lament was over how about a few clicks for keepsake or for people like me monetize it through blogging. “But weren’t you just debating about cows spoiling the beauty of a road drive”, snapped Soumen, when I urged him to click a few pictures. “Ah, Oh (I fumbled to find the right argument). “Arre this is to spread awareness. I need to do my bit for the country”. This will be such a fun theme for my blog (my inner voices chuckled in happiness).
Well, let’s just accept it. Cows are an internal part of India’s tourism as Sarah Mcdonald’s Holy Cow rightly portrays in a humorous way.
Gau mata ki jai ho (Hail to the holy cow).
Do share your fun road story.
